Peterson StroboVUE

The Peterson StroboVUE is a strobe pedal tuner that stays active at all times, which means always-on display with uninterrupted signal, for instant visual feedback, with ±0.1 cent accuracy.

 

Two features really stand out: “Sweetened Tunings” and “Guided Tunings”. Sweetened Tunings provide subtle but effective compensation depending on the instrument and context. On guitar, for example, chords feel more balanced, while on pedal steel or in alternate tunings, the benefit is even more noticeable, as small pitch discrepancies caused by the instrument’s physics are essentially evened out in a way that sounds more natural to the ear. Guided Tunings make fast retuning straightforward, which is especially useful on stage.

 

Build quality is solid. The high-definition LCD screen remains clearly readable in all conditions, and the angled format with top-mounted connections integrates cleanly into a dense pedalboard. The built-in buffer is transparent and prevents signal loss across long chains. The lack of battery means a dedicated power supply is required, but in return the unit remains stable and always ready.
