The Martin RD SC-10E Sapele is built entirely of sapele. Its sound is remarkably close to that of a traditional mahogany guitar, but with a little more brilliance and projection, as sapele is a stiffer wood. The sound of the Martin RD SC-10E Sapele continues the long tradition of Martin guitars appreciated for their mellow, warm tone and their tendency to enhance vocals without overpowering them. Its offset body offers balanced projection and effectively prevents feedback. The swift neck is very comfortable, and the playability of this guitar is equivalent to that of a short-scale instrument, with easy access to the highest notes.
