Especially known for attracting shredders and metalheads thanks to its ultra-thin necks, floating vibratos and 7, 8 and 9 (!) strings guitars, Ibanez has established itself as THE Japanese export brand. Founded in 1957 in Nagoya, Japan, Ibanez began by producing copies of the american brands such as Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, before creating its own. But it was in the 80's that the brand set itself as a staple of the rock and metal landscape, by signing virtuosos such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, and established itself as a reference when it comes to superstrats.
Designed for younger players, beginners, or as a travel instrument, the Mikro keeps things straightforward and easy to handle. The short scale makes chords and bends simpler, while the maple neck maintains a direct, immediate feel. The lightweight poplar body prevents fatigue and keeps the instrument balanced.
The two humbuckers provide a basic but usable sound for practice or low-volume playing. Access to all 24 frets and the RG-style layout help players get used to the feel of a modern guitar without added difficulty.
