The Yamaha Silent Guitar SLG 200 NW is a compact, lightweight silent classical guitar that fits into its included gig bag as easily as a violin. And it’s high-performance and flawlessly built—which, in non-marketing language, means it sounds great and is ergonomic, reliable, and built to last.
With its detachable maple and rosewood frame and mahogany body, it offers excellent playing comfort and minimal bulk, making it perfect for travel or quiet practice. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard give it the feel of a traditional classical guitar, with a wide 52 mm nut and a 650 mm scale length.
Its SRT Powered system accurately reproduces the sound of a classical guitar recorded with a high-end studio microphone, delivering a natural tone through headphones or amplification. Built-in effects (Reverb, Chorus) add another layer of sound and playing pleasure. It’s honestly the perfect guitar for a home studio, late-night practice while the baby’s asleep, or traveling. Brian May used one on tour at one point. We're not entirely sure how we feel about that, but it shows it can be done.
