Drum Workshop was founded in California in 1972 from a music school owned by Don Lombardi, who began making high-end drums at the request of his associates. Known for its innovations, custom models, and tension-free shells, DW quickly made a name for itself among Californian professionals and soon expanded globally. Today, DW offers an extensive range in the high-end market, as well as mid-range options with the introduction of its PDP line manufactured in the Orient.

This model features a 10-ply maple shell with 6-ply reinforcement rings, ensuring durability and resonance. The 60-degree bearing edges optimize head contact for precise response. Equipped with 10 double-ended Turret lugs and True-Pitch 50 tension rods, this snare drum guarantees stable and accurate tuning. The 3.0 mm True-Hoops and MAG throw-off provide ease of use, while the 5P butt plate and 20-strand True-Tone snare wires complete this high-end setup.

The Remo heads, with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and a Remo Hazy Ambassador snare-side head, are adorned with the DW logo, adding a touch of elegance. The satin oil finish on maple wood and chrome hardware enhance the instrument's aesthetic, proudly bearing the DW Collector's Series badge. With a diameter of 14" and a depth of 6", this snare drum offers a warm, resonant sound, a wide dynamic range, and is perfectly suited for a variety of musical styles.
