Especially known for attracting shredders and metalheads thanks to its ultra-thin necks, floating vibratos and 7, 8 and 9 (!) strings guitars, Ibanez has established itself as THE Japanese export brand. Founded in 1957 in Nagoya, Japan, Ibanez began by producing copies of the american brands such as Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, before creating its own. But it was in the 80's that the brand set itself as a staple of the rock and metal landscape, by signing virtuosos such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, and established itself as a reference when it comes to superstrats.
This Axion Label series guitar is made for modern, even brutal tones, and is based on a performance-oriented construction. The body is light and comfortable, so you can play for hours. The neck is silky smooth and fast, and the ebony fingerboard provides a very pleasant feel. The Evertune bridge is a marvel: it keeps/adjusts the tuning under all playing conditions, and delivers on its promise. As for the pair of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, they produce fat and precise sounds, but with enough roundness to allow you to play all rock/metal styles. Truly amazing.
