Founded in 2004 in Singapore, Maestro has made a name for itself in the very private club of high-end violin making. Maestro builds guitars and ukuleles for musicians looking for an instrument that is easy to play, with a generous sound and impeccable finish. The small team of experienced craftsmen led by Hozen, master luthier and owner of the Maestro shop, handcrafts each instrument using only the finest woods and components, while using modern technology and innovative ideas, such as the adoption of carbon fiber to reinforce the necks, the use of PLEK, the creation of a second rosette on the rib acting as a "monitor" to faithfully hear the projected sound, the double top, and a beveled side for more comfort.
This Custom Raffles IR CSB LE AD is a prodigious mini-jumbo, with excellent sound articulation in all registers. It generates dynamic and sonic, perfectly balanced lows and crystal clear, smooth highs. Its dynamics favor an intimate and sensitive phrasing, which is perfectly adapted to arpeggios, and remains convincing in rhythms, thanks to its percussive midrange.
Its high-end features, exceptional playability and superb tone make this Raffles a lifetime investment. Its low price (about three times less expensive than an American guitar with equivalent features) makes this model a luxury for amateurs, and will faithfully serve professionals.
