Martin DS16 D-16E
For many enthusiasts, C.F. Martin & Co. has been creating the most beautiful guitars in the world for over 180 years. The company has innovated by using manufacturing techniques and features that have become standards, including the X-bracing, the fourteenth fret body/ neck joint and the Dreadnought format. Faithful to the founder's approach, the company continues to employ artisanal processes and a highly skilled workforce. Today, more contemporary designs and approach allow Martin to maintain its reputation as the world leader in professional acoustic guitar making, without sacrificing its core models and legendary quality.
The first Martin with a spruce top produced in the USA, this innovative guitar has been designed and developed using Rugine to offer a better sound by using a forward offset X-bracing. The D16E is made from premium quality woods including a solid Sitka spruce top, sycamore ribs and back, and a black ebony fingerboard . This wood set delivers a direct and powerful sound that retains its clarity when played with force. At nearly 16 inches wide, the "D" is Martin's largest body, giving the D16E one of the greatest voices in the acoustic guitar world. Take the stage, plug in and Martin's exquisite sound is perfectly amplified by the built-in Fishman Matrix VT Enhance electronics.
