This stunning Fender CS Jazzmaster 59 JRN Relic RW 3TSB is a superb replica of an innovative Jazzmaster model released a year after the original. The body of this Jazzmaster, crafted from select ash, boasts a striking 3-Tone Sunburst Journeyman Relic finish. The care with which every wear mark has been applied is truly remarkable. Fine cracks, wood-exposing scratches, and a slight tarnishing of the metal components give this guitar a unique character that extends to the feel when held.

The rift-sawn maple neck follows a '62-style Jazzmaster profile (a comfortable C-shape), complemented by a flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius. This configuration provides modern and comfortable playability, with 21 narrow tall frets for increased precision and ease of play. The bone nut adds to the tonal quality by enhancing resonance and clarity. We found it very enjoyable to handle and forgiving in terms of touch accuracy.

A distinctive feature of this Jazzmaster is its single-layer gold anodized aluminum pickguard, a sought-after detail from the early models. The pickups are Custom Shop hand-wound '62 Jazzmasters, delivering an authentic and dynamic sound, while the 250K volume and tone pots provide warmth and smoothness, contrasting with the usual brightness of Jazzmasters. Even those on our team who aren’t typically fans of offset guitars shed a few tears, so enveloping is its sound.

Other notable features include a floating Fender vibrato with a Custom Shop RSD bridge to enhance sustain and ensure excellent tuning stability, and vintage-style tuners.
