De Leeuw Guitars, based in Pont-Sainte-Maxence, France, is a luthier workshop founded by Quentin De Leeuw and David Schwarz, specializing in neck-through electric guitars. Combining tradition and modernity, the workshop creates custom-made instruments, focusing on comfort, sustain, and a rich sound. Each guitar is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, from the selected woods to the pickups. In recognition of its excellence, De Leeuw Guitars won the People's Choice Award at the Salon de La Belle Guitare in Montrouge in 2022 and the Grand Prix de l'Espoir du Made in France 2023. The Jazzmaster Custom Ziricote, the result of our collaboration with De Leeuw, stands out not only for its refined aesthetics but also for its unparalleled playing comfort. The 7-ply maple and ziricote neck-through with a soft C De Leeuw Guitars profile, designed to our specifications, provides a natural and smooth feel, reducing fatigue during extended sessions. This ergonomics is complemented by the balanced tempered alder body, ensuring comfortable playing whether sitting or standing.

Sonically, this Jazzmaster excels in richness and tonal diversity. The SP Custom Jazzmaster 62 Serie L pickups we selected, combined with vintage Jazzmaster electronics to '58 specs, produce an authentic sound, warm and precise. The Treble Bleed integrated into the volume potentiometer, added at our request, maintains the brightness and clarity of the sound even at low volume, an essential feature for expressive nuances. The choice of woods, including the ziricote top and Indian rosewood fretboard, contributes to this extensive tonal palette, offering deep bass, singing midrange, and crystalline highs.
