Founded in 1883 in Savannah, Georgia, USA, Gretsch has established itself as THE reference brand for electric archtop guitars, building instruments revered by artists playing mostly in the country, rock n 'roll and rockabilly registers. With its iconic pickups, delivering a raw and authentic sound, and particularly fine finishes (both in terms of quality and looks, often flashy), it has been praised by guitarists such as Chet Atkins, Bo Diddley, George Harrison, Brian Setzer or Billy Gibbons.
With the G5420TG Limited 50's (only 100 for Europe, and we only have one!), Gretsch offers a typical country-rock guitar with modern evolutions, such as a master volume with treble bleed (no loss of treble when the volume is turned down), a pair of dynamic and expressive Gretsch Black Top Filter'Tron pickups and revised bracing to increase the acoustic amplitude, allowing it to resonate particularly well, with midrange present and bass with defined contours.
