The Boss Katana 50 MKIII represents a notable advancement over the Katana 50 MKII, offering substantial improvements in sound, effects, and flexibility.
Equipped with the latest generation Tube Logic technology, it produces more authentic and responsive tube amp sounds, featuring a new "Pushed" channel for thicker saturations. It also includes five new amp models: Brown, Blues Deluxe, Lincoln MK-II, Tweed Deluxe, and AC Tone. With 62 built-in effects, including new additions like "Whammy," "Slow Gear," and "Flanger," the Katana 50 MKIII offers enhanced sound customization. It features four tone memory slots, an assignable footswitch, and a "Power Amp In" function for use with external preamps.
Its connectivity options include a stereo headphone output, a line output, a USB-C port, and compatibility with the BOSS Tone Studio app for advanced effect editing. Other improvements include a 12-inch Waza speaker for better bass response, robust construction, and an updated design.
