Laney presents here with the Lionheart LA-Studio 3W a little bomb thought for recording and small stages (although it will work on big ones too). On the one hand, it's an almost conventional tube amp head, with a 3-watt channel reducible to 0.1, a 3-band EQ, a few pots, two HP outputs (8 and 16 ohms). We say almost, because it is in fact a Laney Supergroup, one of the acclaimed mega best-sellers of the manufacturer. The sound is excellent, with a naturally pronounced British grain, a big presence through the mix, efficient settings, and a creamy crunch like a cappuccino in Naples. On the other hand, it's a little technological marvel, as it contains a DI that incorporates 6 Impulse Response presets, those sound reproduction algorithms that allow computers to control FRFR speakers as if they were tracking a real cabinet. so the possibilities are enormous, especially in the studio, but also on the road.
