This limited edition of the legendary overdrive contains exactly the same circuit as the reissues with an OP amp JRC4558D, and delivers the same characteristic sound with its midrange bump, creamy grain, and very natural dynamics. The sound of the Maxon OD-9 Blackdrive is a bit more open, and has a hair higher output level. The glossy black colored enclosure is purely a matter of style, and it looks great.
