Roland Corporation, worldwide know under the Roland name, is an electronical musical instrument manufacturer. It was founded on April 18, 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi in Ōsaka. Very well known for its Boss stompboxes, its amplifiers and synthesizers, Roland is also active since decades in the drum machines area and more recently for its electronical drum sets.
